Are you a great farmer or stockperson— producing delicious, colorful, healthy produce and proteins and now you’re ready to expand; grow your market by stepping-up your operation with processing for a value-added offering? Where do you go for help developing a value add product idea? What’s involved in setting-up onsite capacity? Should I do it myself or find a partner?
Join the Agricultural Leadership Foundation of Hawaii (ALFH) for this informative workshop that brings togetherspeakers from three organizations doing related work on value add food products:
Cory Vicens: UH Maui Food Innovation Center
Lauren Tamamoto: KCC Culinary Arts Innovation Center
Marisa Wall: USDA Pacific Basin Ag Research Center
Following their presentations these three will be joined by local Value-Added practitioners from Manoa Chocolate Company, Kohana Rum and Armstrong Produce for a panel discussion on this subject.
Attendance is open to anyone. Come join us at the Ranch House building during the 2018 Farm Fair, Kualoa Ranch, 3:00-4:30 pm. Space is limited. Register by July 1. Please join us!
