At both companies he was responsible for corporate reporting both internal and external to the company as well as budgeting, planning and internal controls. Before his CPA career he served as a nuclear trained mechanical engineer aboard two fast attack submarines based in Pearl Harbor, and had the opportunity to visit many countries along the Pacific Rim. After his tour of duty in the US Navy he brought his engineering experience to the H-Power plant in Kapolei, Hawaii where he was part of the startup team. Matt is a CPA licensed in Hawaii. He attended the Hawaii Pacific University for his accounting degree and the University of Hawaii for his MBA (EMBA 14). Matt now lives in Mililani. As treasurer for ALFH, Matt has enjoyed supporting the organization's work to help shape future leaders in agriculture.
